GRAPE VARIETIES
The Ribera has a common denominator: the Tempranillo grape. Under the name Tinta del País or Tinta Fina, it has made known a native fruit of Ribera del Duero, providing the colour, aroma and body that make our wines unrepeatable. As well as Tempranillo, the Governing Council allows other varieties: reds like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Garnacha Tinta or the only authorised white: Albillo or Blanca del País. Six grape varieties for an exceptional and unmistakeable flavour, marking the quality of every bottle.
In Ribera, there is a wine for everyone and for every occasion. The more than 900 brands bearing the Ribera del Duero label are the image of 8,000 wine-makers and more than 270 wineries devoted themselves body and soul to vine-growing.
