A haven of peace and tranquility under the poplars on the banks of the Duero. Known as "La Barca", this area has been authorized by the Quintanilla de Arriba City Council with services such as shower, drinking water, tables with benches, a slide, a wooden walkway and piers. The sand is replenished every summer and is an area declared suitable for bathing (water analysis included) by the census of the Junta de Castilla y León (dated 2020). The buoys delimit the bathing area and access from the shore to the water is easy, since the depth is increasing progressively. This area is located right on the path of the "Senda del Duero GR-14" as it passes through this town of Valladolid.

A little further south of Peñafiel, upstream of the Duratón River, we find a well-cared for leisure area and beach at the same time. At the foot of the majestic castle of Peñafiel, and in the very core of the town, is this playful space called "Parque de la Judería". It is a small but comforting area where, in addition to having a children's playground and a terrace where you can enjoy a drink, you can cool your feet (and even dive) on the shores of this tributary of the Duero, the Duratón. And a few meters away, the Plaza del Coso. It is another unbeatable option to spend a beautiful day in the riverside town of Peñafiel.

The Riaza River (a tributary of the Duero on its left bank) is the great meeting point in Milagros, a Burgos and riverside town that enjoys this enviable leisure area that you can see in the photographs. It is a large landscaped area, with tables and other services to enjoy a good family day. The riverbed allows the little ones to swim since it is very calm and its waters barely cover. Right next to it you can find a playground. This leisure area on the banks of the Riaza is surrounded by municipal sports facilities (soccer field and swimming pool), being a successful entertainment point, at the foot of the A1 highway and just 10 minutes from Aranda de Duero.

The prominence of the Duero in the Soria capital of Ribera del Duero is enormous, and if not, ask the great stone bridge with 16 eyes that saves it. This river beach that we present to you is declared suitable for swimming by the census of the Junta de Castilla y León (dated 2020). It is located precisely on the long-distance path (known as GR-14) in its stages 7 and 8.
Upstream from "El Sotillo" (the capricious islet that the Duero draws as it passes through this municipality), the Sanestebeños can enjoy two bathing areas prior to a breakwater formed by large blocks of stone and concrete that tame the "beast" :
"La Alameda" (left bank), is a mixed beach of sand and stone protected by a dense grove, with rest areas, tables and barbecues.

On a total area of 23.00 square meters are the lagoons Valcabadillo. These are shallow lagoons, with an average depth of 1.5 metres, although there are areas with a greater depth. The lagoons are connected by a small artificial spillway and their water supply is of natural origin since it comes from springs.
In 2007, Tubilla del Lago began its work to recover the lagoons with the aim of increasing the region’s biodiversity and making it serve as a bird refuge and a feeding and breeding area for waterfowl, In this way, bird-watching enthusiasts will find a paradise for birding.
With the recovery of the lagoons has been wanted to allude to the name of the town and that "del Lago" make sense again.

It is an intimate and secret place, where nature is still found in virginal fullness. The moor opens suddenly, discovering the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Blanca and a lonely valley that can be explored on foot enjoying a pleasant walk. Farmland and a minimum waterchannel. Archaeological remains.
There are the so-called Cuevas del Cura, from where the undisory Burgal guerrilla known as the priest Merino prepared ambushes against the French armies.
