Located in the municipality of Pesquera de Duero, it is one of the largest wooden bridges manufactured in Spain (the largest of its category), with a total length of 106 meters, 3 meters wide, a maximum light that exceeds 50 meters and weighs about 50 tons. Formed by 4 modules built in Asturias and later transported with special vehicles to Pesquera, where they were assembled in a week, being perfectly adjusted to the landscape and causing a reduced visual impact (unlike concrete or steel) without reducing the resistance or quality of the bridge. The balustrade in the form of a barrel make a nod to one of the main activities that irrigates the Douro: the production of wine.
As with the Quintanilla de Arriba walkway, comparisons with a snake are inevitable due to the zigzag that the structure draws over the Duero.
