Location
This village has magnificent views from its viewpoints. They say that it was the land of many elms and that an illness ravaged these lands, destroying all this plant species. It occupies the center of the Botijas stream valley, where, according to the story, Juan Martín "El Empecinado" was arrested. In the center of the town and at the end of a street that turns into a hill, is the Santa Engracia Church. It dates from the 16th century, built in stone of Gothic style. Another religious building, located next to the cemetery is the Hermitage of Cristo del Amparo. Finally it should be noted that it is a town where there are cellars, its entrance to the urban core impresses thanks to the presence of numerous poplars that populate the lower parts of the stream, where a small picnic area with a fountain is located.
