In the historic center of the Ribera del Duero, Oreja Convent was born in 2002, taking the name of an old Cistercian Convent of the 12th century, when a group of friends decided to carry out a project that had been beating for some time: enjoy the friendship around a glass of his wine, a glass that picked up his own style, his passion, his work and that of nature in the lands of the Ribera del Duero.

The Douro as it passes through our land of Peñafiel more than confirms its nature as a privileged space for the obtaining of exceptional wines. Their mists girdle and caress the clusters of grapes, conferring to the wines that mixture of vigor and finesse that characterizes them. They are based on the enormous possibilities of the grape variety Tinta del País, which gives rich wines in body and color, red guardians of illustrated aromas, toasted, ripe, substantial, with the flavor of the fruit in season and a surprising tannic relief.

The passion for wine and the soul that Convento Oreja puts into its preparation is conveyed in the visit to the winery with closeness and naturalness. They take a tour through the history of the Cistercian monks of the Oreja Convent, through the vineyards at the foot of the winery, the natural environment that characterizes us and the production of the wines and their subsequent aging.

Continuing the day with a commented tasting of some of its wines according to the modality of visit chosen to complete an exciting and fun wine tourism experience.

They offer two types of visits that include a guided tour of the vineyards and the winery, and the tasting of at least Convento Oreja Roble.
