On a total area of 23.00 square meters are the lagoons Valcabadillo. These are shallow lagoons, with an average depth of 1.5 metres, although there are areas with a greater depth. The lagoons are connected by a small artificial spillway and their water supply is of natural origin since it comes from springs.
In 2007, Tubilla del Lago began its work to recover the lagoons with the aim of increasing the region’s biodiversity and making it serve as a bird refuge and a feeding and breeding area for waterfowl, In this way, bird-watching enthusiasts will find a paradise for birding.
With the recovery of the lagoons has been wanted to allude to the name of the town and that "del Lago" make sense again.
