Villalba de Duero is a town in the province of Burgos located in the valley of the river Duero, on a hill on its right bank.

Places of interest:

•Church of San Miguel Archangel: in Renaissance style and concluded in the eighteenth century, it is accessed, after a large stone staircase, through the Plateresque doorway presided by a rough image of San Miguel Arcángel. Inside, it houses three baroque altars.
•Hermitage of the Virgen del Prado: it dates from 1780 and is located to the north of the municipality, where the primitive medieval nucleus was.
•Hermitage of San Pedro.

In the coastal municipality of Villalba de Duero you can visit the "Humedales del Carrascal", a small circular path that covers about 10 km, whose origin is in the ancient extraction of aggregates. These wetlands are areas that today are naturalized and colonized by the fauna and flora of these rich ecosystems, being ideal for the observation of aquatic birds. It is a cycle path all the way.

Villalba de Duero celebrates its festivities in honour of San Miguel Archangel and his Virgin, the Virgen del Prado. Also popular are the festival of the quintos (January), the festival of the cocido (March) and the cultural summer (August).
