Location
It is a town and municipality located in the province of Burgos, autonomous community of Castilla y León, region of La Ribera, judicial party of Aranda de Duero and town hall of the same name.
It is crossed by the Gromejón River, in which limestone abounds, hence the name Tubilla, derived from the Latin term tuillan, which means TOBA. The lake's gone.
Tubilla del Lago has a Parish Church with Romanesque remains. Its festivities are celebrated in honor of the Virgin of the Asunción and San Roque (15 and 16 August), San Miguel (29 September), and San Marcos (April 25) in which it goes from the village walking to the hermitage.
It has two bars, bakery, municipal swimming pools, park, pediment, tennis court and the outskirts of the Valcabadillo lagoons and speed circuit.
In October 2017, Tubilla del Lago debuts its "Route of Artistic Murals": a dozen artists have wanted to improve the image of the town by converting old facades, walls and doors into art. Thirteen are already painted murals but will continue to expand the series.
Gentilitium of Tubilla del Lago: Tubillanos.
