Palacio de Villachica Project was born in the mind of three friends a long time ago, but the dream comes true in 2017. They wanted to find the real expression of the best tempranillos of the world, and of course, they arrive to Ribera de Duero as one of them.

In 2019, after two years of research about the best places, the different terroirs and the possibilities of the Appellation, they build a small winery in Peñafiel. With a maximum capacity of 150000 kg and everything thought to elaborate the wine in the best conditions of care and control, the team of winemakers, integrated by Rafael García (Technical Director), Pedro Arranz (Winemaker) and Daniel del Río, they can extract from the grapes the best of each terrior, to make a final blend that describe of the complexity of Ribera del Duero.

The vineyards are a carefully selected puzzle of 34 tiny old vineyards distributed in 5 small villages in the highest areas of the appellation, making a total of 28 hectares. We work close to the small growers, giving advice in organic management and trying to preserve this heritage of very old vineyards to the next generations.
