Bodegas Lleiroso is a modest but innovative winery in the Ribera del Duero, the result of the passion of Don Alberto Cobo for the world of wine. It is located in Valbuena de Duero, in the so-called =golden mile of the Ribera del Duero, near the river that gives name to this prestigious Denomination of Origin.

Born in Jaén, its founder and current manager, Alberto Cobo, was a pharmacist in Valladolid when in 1999, risking his own business, he decided to dedicate himself to what he really loved: the production of great wines in an area as representative as today the Ribera del Duero.

Despite its youth, the tour of this particular winery is solid and firm, producing year after year some wines highly valued by connoisseurs of the sector, who are getting excellent scores and prizes in competitions both nationally and internationally.

Bodegas Lleiroso is the work of a famous architect, who gave its design an avant-garde style that perfectly meets the requirements and conditions for the production of the best wines. In a few years it has become one of the best known wineries in the area.

The processing, aging and ageing are carried out in an artisanal way, preserving the processes used by the first winegrowers of the area, thus getting each sip of each of their bottles, transporting us to the past.

This winery has spent a lot of time selecting, with great delicacy and in the best wine areas of the area, the most suitable grapes for the production of its wines. They have chosen vineyards in Valbuena and the upper part of the Ribera Burgalesa, preferring vineyards between 50 and 80 years old that have grown in privileged soils.

The chosen grape is the Tempranillo, the variety "queen of the Ribera" , called in the Tinto Fino area, making in certain wines blend with a small percentage of merlot. The result is a bright and colourful wine, with hints of toasted wood and fresh aromas of red fruits, complex, elegant and voluminous on the palate. After tasting them, you will no doubt be enthralled by these vibrant and friendly wines. And he will surely repeat the experience by raising his glass to celebrate special occasions with friends and family.
