La Asunción de Nuestra Señora Winery is located in the town of Gumiel de Izán in the province of Burgos, declared a Historic-Artistic Site. Just 70 kilometers from Burgos and 10 kilometers from Aranda de Duero.
It was founded in 1963 by 300 members, all of them winegrowers of Gumiel de Izán, one of the best considered terms within the production area of the Ribera. After several renovations and extensions it now has 2,000 m2 of processing area.
Currently, 220 hectares of the Tinta del País and Blanca Albillo varieties are cultivated. The average age of the vines is 80 years, being the "glass type" plantations and the manual harvest of the grapes. These characteristics give the wines of this winery an excellent quality.
Morozan is the trademark of the Sociedad Cooperativa la Asunción de Nuestra Señora.
