In the heart of the Duero River Valley region, 10 kms. from Aranda, this town has 191 inhabitants who give the visitor a warm welcome with their wine cellars, monuments, traditions and customs.
In the town’s main square, we find the Parish Church of San Miguel Archangel. In addition to this temple, in this locality is located the hermitage of Nuestra Señora de Nava, the Fuente Grande, the Lavadero and the Town Hall.
This municipality is on the way to the Natural Park of Las Hoces del Río Riaza and on the way to the Linares Reservoir. In addition, here is the La Dehesa Audio-Guided Interpretation Trail.
Fuentelcésped celebrates its patron saint festivities in mid-June in honour of the Virgin of Nava. It is characteristic of Fuentelcésped the Pilgrimage of the Dancers, in which eight children dressed in funny clothes and headdresses with cheerful flower hats, dance to the Virgin of the Nava, in the feasts of their "brought" and "carried" from the hermitage to the village church.
